My name is Rembrand and I’m a designer, comic book enthousiast, moviegoer, drawing person and a bit of a craftsperson. I studied Graphic Design at the K.A.S.K., in Ghent (Belgium) mastering design for print and started work as a webdesigner after graduating in 2006.
Through the first years of work I expanded my design skillset with a strong knowledge of xhtml/css, webstandards and WordPress.

“But what does PaperblackNinja mean?”
First of all, it’s a wordplay: paperback, black and ninja. It refers to my love of paper for its strong link to art and design. From the Japanese origami to drawing sketches, paper has been one of the primary means of expression and imagination since it was invented. I always liked the image of the ninja as someone highly skilled for his job. Of course, in the ninja’s case we’re talking about assasination, while I’m more interested in graphics.
